Inmate, 19, found hanged in cell

An inmate at the Arizona State Prison in Florence was found dead in his cell Monday night.

Andrew Ingalls, 19, was found hanged during a routine check at about 10 p.m., according to Arizona Department of Corrections spokesman Bill Lamoreaux. Ingalls was sent to the state prison in October 2006 for theft, escape and drug paraphernalia violations. He was eligible for tentative release in August of this year.

The Pinal County coroner is investigating his death.
